AASI is a close-knit group of full-time and part-time instructors dedicated to reaching the highest levels of performance within the snow sports industry. Membership represents increased professionalism and rewarding personal and professional achievement. AASI instructors are recognized and respected by both the public and people within the industry.
How To Join The American Association of Snowboard Instructors
- If you are a current member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America, you are given automatic membership in AASI.
- Determine which area you would like to be employed by as an instructor. AASI divisions can help you determine which areas nearest you are AASI members.
- You should go through the area’s hiring clinic and be employed as a teacher before you seek AASI membership.
- Contact the appropriate AASI division office to receive a member information packet.
- Once you have filled out the appropriate paperwork, received training from your area and have paid your dues, you are considered to be a Registered member of AASI.
- If you choose to, you may participate in training programs offered by your area and division to achieve a Level I certification. Through these programs, you will learn teaching fundamentals to prepare you for Level I certification exam.
