How To Join The American Association of Snowboard Instructors

• If you are a current member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America, you are given automatic membership in AASI.
• Determine which area you would like to be employed by as an instructor. AASI divisions can help you determine which areas nearest you are AASI members.
• You should go through the area’s hiring clinic and be employed as a teacher before you seek AASI membership.
• Contact the appropriate AASI division office to receive a member information packet.
• Once you have filled out the appropriate paperwork, received training from your area and have paid your dues, you are considered to be a Registered member of AASI.
• If you choose to, you may participate in training programs offered by your area and division to achieve a Level I certification. Through these programs, you will learn teaching fundamentals to prepare you for Level I certification exam.
