AASI Snowboard Team

Mikey Franco's spring break from his first year at Penn State started out as a short visit to Jackson Hole. But Mikey became hooked on riding the epic steeps and deep of Wyoming. That spring break turned into nearly a two-decade snowboard teaching odyssey, taking him around the globe to surf the snow of North America, New Zealand, Europe, India, and Japan.

Back in Jackson, Mikey plays an integral role in developing the Jackson Hole Snowboard School and is a lead guide and co-founder of Worldwide Tribes, an international snowboarding and surfing company. In addition to his selection to a second term on AASI National Team, Mikey is the Jackson Snowboard School Instructor Training Coordinator, an AASI-I DECL snowboard examiner, and a backcountry snowboard guide.

When he is not ripping powder stashes around the world, or coaching others to do the same, he can be found spending time with his dog Emma in Jackson.
