Insurance for AASI-PSIA Members
One of the great advantages of being a AASI or PSIA certified instructor is that you can purchase insurance that can go where your other insurance policies might not. These policies, offered through our association broker SportsInsurance.com, provide featured coverage during teaching or training for skiing and snowboarding. These policies are valid worldwide, including the USA and Canada, and are underwritten by certain underwriters at Lloyd’s, an A rated company.
What is covered?
Accidental Medical Coverage for many medical services up to $50,000 per accident, $100,000 aggregate per insured member, with a $2,500 deductible per accident.
Professional Liability insurance for bodily injury or property damage to third parties during an instructional accident caused by any act or omission arising out of instructional services provided by an insured instructor. $1,000,000 Bodily Injury & Property Damage combined coverage per claim made during the coverage period per insured member, plus additional coverage for defense costs and claims related to allegations of molestation or abuse; $5,000 deductible.
Important note: You must be a member in good standing and at least a current Certified Level I to obtain this coverage.
